Bakery and food processing is a program that involves the transformation of raw materials to finished products. Food processing is the transformation of agricultural products into food. It is also the transformation of one form of food into other forms. Food processing includes many forms of processing foods, from grinding grain to make raw flour to home cooking to complex industrial methods used to make convenience foods.
This program enables an individual to be trained on how to bake cakes( examples: yogurt cake, plain cake, banana cake, coconut cake, red velvet cake, vegetarian cake, Mini Cheesecakes, Classic Cupcakes and lots more), pastry products (Shortcrust Pastry, Puff Pastry, Flaky Pastry, Rough Puff Pastry, Choux Pastry, Filo Pastry), breads, doughnuts, pies, cookies, biscuits, Gourmet Brownies, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, rolls and lots more. Food processing involves transformation processes such as the production of yoghurt, homemade mayonnaise, quality milkshakes, smoothies, fruit drinks, fruit juice, coconut oil, carrot oil and lots more
Bakery and food processing training program trains individuals on how to prepare varieties of African dishes (Examples: Fufu and Eru, Achu, Ndolle, Mbongochiorbi, Mpu fish, Kwacco, different sauces and lots more) and European dishes (Example: Arancini and Pizza in Italy, Pierogi in Poland, Waffles in Belgium, Cheese fondue in Switzerland, Ćevapi in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Goulash in Hungary, Palatschinken in Austria, Currywurst in Germany and lots more).
